Financial Decision Making Study
A. Purpose and Procedures
The purpose of this research study is to better understand how people make financial decisions. University Institutional Review Board, approval #23443.
B. Risks and Confidentiality
There are no risks associated with participating in this study. All of your responses will be kept private and secured in a password protected computer file and undisclosed to persons outside of the research other than the researchers that are part of this study. You do not need to give any identifying information such as your name or email address to participate in this study. IP addresses are routinely recorded, but are completely confidential. Research designs often require that the full intent of the study not be explained prior to participation. When the study is completed, you can request a full debriefing on the purpose and the procedures of the research. You have the right to end the study at anytime. All of your responses will be anonymous. All the data collected will be for research purpose only. Data will not be accessed by anyone else other than the researchers themselves.
C. Costs/Benefits
There will be no cost to you or direct benefits to you for participating in this research. Some people may feel good that they helped the scientific enterprise. D.
